Chris Anderson had his first experience with property renovation at a young age, when his Dad would bring him along to work on updating his rental properties (whether he wanted to go or not). It didn’t take long before he realized all of the handyman skills he had developed and how he was not afraid to take on risky or challenging problems. These skills have proved invaluable both as a Realtor and a house flipper.A graduate of Southern Methodist University, Chris moved to Austin in 1998 to work in music sales and quickly became ingrained in Austin’s music and arts community. When he bought his first house in 1999, it became as much an ongoing renovation project as it was a home, and launched a second career in real estate investment. Since 2003, he has renovated 12 houses, becoming a licensed Realtor in 2004 to handle all of his own transactions. He has since helped dozens of other clients find the right home at the right price, using his first-hand experience to help guide buyers’ and sellers’ decisions on how to prep their homes for sale, and how to maximize equity in a new purchase with some well-planned updating. He demonstrated this ability as a buyers’ agent in a 2012 episode of HGTV’s My First Place.

Chris remains highly involved with music in Austin, working behind the scenes on festivals like SXSW, Austin City Limits and Fun Fun Fun Fest and handling day-to-day sales with independent stores like Waterloo Records and End Of An Ear. When he’s not working on music or real estate, he can usually be found swimming with his wife and 4yo daughter, relaxing at one of Austin’s great restaurants, or mountain biking, playing softball or basketball outside.
